Artist Statement
I see unexpected rhythms and patterns that emerge from unrelated elements in the physical world. In my paintings, these elements come together to form new and often surprising connections. The 7,591 series is an exploration of the intersection of text and native plants. When combined these two seemingly disparate forms evoke an ecosystem that underscores interdependence, and mutual benefit.
